SAT-i brings two leading edge South African products together to uniquely meet the needs of fleet owners and managers. Digit is a class leading vehicle tracking device that logs a vehicle's movement at pre-determined intervals that are either time or event driven, while ODAC is a data manipulation tool that specialises in communicating relevant information to its user population.

Combine the two and the result is greater than the sum of the parts. While Digit will collect and store every movement of each vehicle it is fitted to, ODAC will test that information against the parameters that you specified for fair use and report any exceptions efficiently and in a user-friendly manner.

The SAT-i solution allows you to:

• specify Fair Use Parameters (FUP's) that match your requirements.These parameters are:
  • Maximum Speed
    
  • Maximum Deceleration
    
  • Maximum Acceleration
    
  • Minimum Distance Travelled in a day
    
  • Maximum Distance Travelled in a day
    
  • Distance remaining before next service interval or any other defined limit
    
• allocate a vehicle to a given person from a specific time, date and odometer reading
  

With this information in place, SAT-i will collect the vehicle's movement data from Digit and inform the allocated individuals responsible for a vehicle or vehicles with a daily e-mail of all breaches of the FUP's per vehicle and per driver. You can choose to receive a standard report with basic information on each vehicle or to be informed only of exceptions and breaches of the FUP's. These e-mails are automatically generated by SAT-i and individually addressed to each recipient. Apart from the specified information contained on each e-mail, it also contains a link to more detailed information on the SAT-i server, including a link that allows the viewing of the trip data overlaid on Google Earth.

All the information is maintained indefinitely allowing the user to track the vehicle usage statistics on a particular vehicle and on a particular driver from inception of the installation.
